The award will be judged by a panel of industry
professionals including Max Delany, Artistic
Director and Chief Executive Officer at ACCA.

Peter Redlich Memorial Art
Prize Winner 2017
Shane Nicholas was the grateful recipient of
the Peter Redlich Memorial Prize 2017. This
prize was awarded for the strength of his
Masters exhibtion forming the major part of
his examination for Masters of Fine Art
(research) at Victorian College of the Arts.

Linden Art Prize 2019
Linden New Art
Shane Nicholas was recently announced as a
finalist for the Linden Art Prize 2019.
The Linden Art Prize is a non-acquisitive
contemporary art award established for artists
graduating from a Masters or PhD from a
Victorian University. The award was established
to celebrate excellence and nurture a new
generation of artists who have recently
completed postgraduate study.
The finalist exhibition is on display from
23 February - 28 April 2019 at Linden New Art.

Shane Nicholas was recently announced as the winner of the $15,000 Tom Bass Prize for Figurative
Sculpture.
The Tom Bass Prize is the first national Australian prize for figurative sculpture.
This important and prestigious Prize is a celebration of the human form and its influence on today’s
sculptors.
The prize was judged by three prominent and diverified artists: Ingrid Morley, Alex Seton and Jennifer
Turpin.
